Castor Oil
We are engaged in the manufacturing and trading of various grades of castor oil, which is widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and lubricants.
Our manufacturing plant in Kanodar is dedicated to the crushing of castor seeds to produce castor oil. The production capacity of this plant is 450 Metric Tons (MT) per day.
Know your castor oil
Castor oil, produced from castor beans, has long been of important commercial value primarily for the manufacturing of soaps, lubricants and coatings, among others. Global castor oil production is concentrated primarily in a Gujarat. This region is favourable due to its labour-intensive cultivation method and subtropical climate conditions.
Castor oil is a yellow viscous liquid, free from suspended matter and insoluble in water. It is produced by refining commercial grade Castor Oil after undertaking bleaching and filtering process.
It is obtained by pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant (Ricinus communis) that is mainly cultivated in Africa, South America, and India. Major castor oil-producing countries include Brazil, China and India. This oil is known to have been domesticated in Eastern Africa and was introduced to China from India approximately 1,400 years ago.
India is a net exporter of castor oil, accounting for over 90% of castor oil exports, while the United States, European Union and China are the major importers, accounting for 84% of imported castor oil.

Castor oil as a source of renewable energy
Castor oil is a promising commodity that has a variety of applications in the coming years, particularly as a renewable energy source.
Biodiesel production from castor oil is, indeed, a promising enterprise. Advances in models and simulations have facilitated optimisation of key processing parameters necessary to obtain good yields of such biodiesel.
